My major academic interest over many years is in the prevention of ill health and specifically preventing the uptake and the treatment of smoking. I have pursued this area producing numerous publications, reports, clinical guidelines quality standards and national audits with a variety of academic and institutions that include NICE, NHS England, the British Thoracic Society, the Royal College of Physicians, and Action on Smoking for Health (ASH).
