Profile
I am an infectious disease epidemiologist and health economist, employing mathematical models and statistical analyses to study the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases and evaluate the health economic benefits of public health interventions.
Since finishing my PhD in HIV epidemiology and mathematical modelling at Imperial College London, I have been evaluating the impact of various HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) interventions. I've also worked as a health economist on a wide range of medical conditions during my time in industry and as an epidemiologist working on maternal and reproductive health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I am currently a Lecturer at the Department of Population Health Sciences, University of Leicester, specialising in impacts of infectious disease screening and vaccination for ethnic minority and migrant populations. I have recently been awarded an NIHR Advanced Research Fellowship to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability and cost-effectiveness of targeted testing for infectious diseases for recent migrants in primary care in the UK.
