Profile

As a PhD candidate at the University of Leicester, I specialise in enhancing human-robot collaborative manufacturing systems, supported by a fully-funded scholarship awarded in 2021. My role extends to a teaching assistant in the School of Engineering, where I contribute to eight diverse modules/labs. Since August 2023, I've been working closely with a leading automotive manufacturer to push the boundaries of my research towards the commercialisation of deep technology. In 2024, I was selected as one of 100 UK PhD Venture Science Fellows in the Conception X Deeptech Venture Programme.

Before this, my journey began with a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, China (2021). During my undergraduate, I received outstanding awards in several academic competitions and distinguished with the honour of "Star of Scientific Innovation". I led the University Mathematical Modelling Society (2018-2019) and undertook internships at Imperial College London and Intel China, contributing to critical projects in carbon capture and Intel QAT. I furthered my professional contributions as a session chair at CARV2023, University of Bologna and a peer reviewer for IEEE transaction T-ASE from Oct 2024.

  • 04/2024 | Startup Founder | Founder of MANUFIX, a platform transforms production agility by providing predictable reconfiguration solutions.
  • 02/2024 | Venture Scientist | Awarded as one of 100 UK PhD Venture Science Fellows in the Conception X Deep-tech Venture Programme.
  • 03/2023 | Student representative | Introduced the PGR research of the University of Leicester as one of the two PhD representatives to the visit delegation of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. 
     
  • 07/2022 | Student lead | Established the first Swarm Robotics Laboratory at the School of Engineering, University of Leicester. (PI: Dr Himanshu Kaul and Dr Mukund Janardhanan)
