Profile
After completing the Primary PGCE at the University of Leicester I taught in Leicestershire schools eventually becoming a science lead. I continues to work in schools and support a Primary Science Partnership in the Market Harborough area which was developed through collaboration with the Ogden Trust. This role continues to deliver a range of enrichment activities in science for children and supports classroom teachers with science learning and teaching in school. I am particularly interested in developing and maintaining the engagement of children in science.
I worked as an associate tutor on the Primary PGCE course before joining the School of Education in September 2017 where I teach on the Science Professional and Broader Curriculum strands. I have completed a Masters in Education programme at the University of Leicester where my dissertation focus was physics subject knowledge development in early careers teachers.
