Profile

Maneka is a postdoctoral research associate working with Dr Sarah Booth and Dr Mark Rutherford on internal validation of temporal re-calibration. Prior to this, she spent a year investigating the genetics of metastasis at The Francis Crick Institute after completing her PhD in Medical Studies from the University of Exeter. She has also worked as a Research Analyst for the National Air Traffic Services Ltd (NATS) and designed simulation models for airport operations in the UK and for the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to design a calling pattern for ONS' field interviewers after graduating from the University of Southampton with a Master's in Operational Research and Statistics and a BSc(Hons) in Mathematics with Actuarial Science. Her research interests include mathematical and simulation modelling with a focus on models for inference and prediction, medical statistics, genetics, computational neuroscience and behavioral informatics.
