Profile
Luke Douglas is a GOC-registered optometrist and dispensing optician. He qualified as a dispensing optician in 2019 after studying at ABDO College in Canterbury, Kent and later completed his Master’s degree in Optometry at the University of Central Lancashire in 2023.
A member of the College of Optometrists, Luke also holds professional certificates in Glaucoma and Medical Retina. Having worked across both multiple and independent practices, Luke is particularly interested in retinal conditions especially macular degeneration and patient-centred care.
Beyond clinical practice, he contributes to the College of Optometrists’ Policy Advisory Panel, serves as a distance learning tutor for student optical assistants, marks theory examinations for ABDO, and is a qualified WOPEC assessor.
