Professor Judith West

I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1983 and then undertook Paediatric training in Birmingham Bristol and Nottingham and became a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics in 1993. I completed a MD in Medicine (lung infection and immune responses in young cystic fibrosis patients) in 1997 and have worked as a Consultant Paediatrician (Community) from 1996 - 2020. I have held a number of senior educational leadership positions at the University of Leicester as Head of Student & Staff Support and Deputy Director Undergraduate Medical Education and as the Associate Medical Director for Medical Education at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. I am currently Deputy Head of Leicester Medical School working with the Head of School to provide strategic direction vision and leadership with respect to the delivery of all School activities. MB.
