Profile

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate based 0.5 FTE in the Department of Population Health Sciences and 0.5 FTE in the Department of Respiratory Sciences.

Within my role in Population Health Sciences, I am in the Biostatistics Research Group, where I hold an NIHR Development and Skills Enhancement award investigating rare disease natural history modelling and decision making. This follows on from my PhD, an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship.

My role in Respiratory Sciences is investigating child respiratory health across various projects using the CPRD database; alongside this, I am working with the TIMMS Research Group on a study quantifying second-trimester pregnancy loss in the UK. I have a First Class (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of York (2018), before moving to the University of Leicester for my MSc Medical Statistics (Distinction) (2019).

My PhD, which I completed between 2021 and 2024, was titled "Modelling the Natural History of Rare Diseases Using Disparate Data Sources: Application to Patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy". More generally, I am interested in the statistical methodology of standard and multi-state survival analyses, the simulation of survival data, the analysis of real world evidence and electronic healthcare data and the integration of patient and public involvement (PPI) into methods research as well as applied research.

An up-to-date list of my publications can be found here.
