Dr Janneke de Boer

I am a participatory researcher with a strong interest in promoting a healthy lifestyle. I hold a BSc in European Public Health and Health Science (specialising in mental health) from Maastricht University and a MSc in Social and Organisational Psychology from Utrecht University. In 2025, I completed a PhD in Health Sciences from Ghent University. My PhD research, part of the EU-funded Health CASCADE project, combined co-creation with implementation science. To co-create and evaluate implementation strategies for a school-based public health intervention, I collaborated closely with secondary school teachers. My research interests span participatory research, health promotion, and implementation science.
