Profile
Jack Wright is a planetary geologist who uses remote sensing datasets to uncover the interior mysteries of the planet Mercury. He has published papers on the planet's volcanism, tectonism, impacts, mass wasting, and volatile-driven processes. His research is driving forward our understanding of Mercury in preparation for the first orbital science data return from the BepiClombo mission (spring 2027). He is an associate of BepiColombo's SIMBIO-SYS and MIXS instruments, the latter of which was built in Leicester.
