Profile
An experienced Diagnostic Radiographer and academic, Holly has developed a diverse career spanning both clinical practice and higher education. Qualifying in 2013, she worked in a Major Trauma Centre in the West Midlands where she developed and honed her skills in projectional radiography (plain film x-ray), fluoroscopy and theatre imaging, all while ensuing patient-centred care. Transitioning into academia in 2020, Holly served as a Lecturer in Radiography at Birmingham City University, where she contributed to the development of future radiographers while completing her PgCert in Higher Education. Moving back into clinical practice in 2024, Holly strengthened her leadership skills through positions as a Practice Educator and Clinical Lead Radiographer in Digital Radiography. Now a Lecturer in Radiography at the University of Leicester, Holly brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and teaching experience. Her professional interests include general radiography, caring for patients with dementia, professional practice, and leadership, reflecting her commitment to both high-quality patient care and the development of compassionate, skilled practitioners.
