Profile

I am an Associate Professor in Finance and Director of Research for the School of Accounting and Finance in the School of Business at the University of Leicester. I received my PhD in Economics from the University of Leicester in 2007.

My research spans corporate finance, financial economics, banking, infrastructure finance, and FinTech. I have published in leading international finance and economics journals, including the Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Journal of Finance & Economics, Economic Inquiry, and Economics Letters.

I currently serve as Associate Editor of the Malaysian Journal of Economic Studies (Malaysian Economic Association) and as an Editorial Board Member of the Global Finance Journal (Elsevier).

I have extensive experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in corporate finance, investment, banking and economics. I am an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

In addition to my academic role, I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Coaching and coach across the public and private sectors, with a focus on leadership development, performance, and career progression.
