Profile
I joined the University of Leicester from Birmingham City University in February 2024, as a Lecturer in Radiography. I have taught undergraduate students in Diagnostic Radiography and Assistant Practitioners in Higher Apprenticeships since November 2021. I have also taught Apprentices and diploma students on Operating Department Practitioner programmes, as well as Undergraduates in Paramedic Sciences since September 2023.
I specialise in Cross Sectional Anatomy and Pathophysiology, Projectional Radiography, with a clinical background in cardiac and neuro interventional Radiography.
I currently sit on the University of Leicester EDI and Technology Committees, working with colleagues in the school of health care to represent, develop and enable student and colleagues’ development and understanding.
I am a HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer, I started my NHS career in 2006 in a Major NHS Trauma and Teaching hospital as an assistant in Physiotherapy and as an assistant in Radiology. I started my Diagnostic Radiography training in 2009 graduating in 2012. My experience includes rotational general radiography duties as a Band 5 radiographer and specialising in Cardiac and Neuro Interventional procedures as a Band 6 Radiographer and Cath Lab Coordinator.
