Daniel Sekwo

I am a PhD Candidate on the Wellcome Trust Doctoral Training Programme, specialising in Public Health Genomics, with a research focus on diversity and inclusion in genomics research. My work sits at the intersection of genomics, public health, healthcare ethics, and community engagement. I am particularly interested in how genomics research and innovation can be designed and implemented in ways that are equitable, ethically grounded, and responsive to the needs of diverse populations. My broader interests include health inequalities research, health and social care, public health policy, responsible innovation in healthcare, healthcare ethics and law, and improving representation of currently underserved or underrepresented groups in healthcare research especially within genomics and precision medicine.
