Daniel re-joined the University of Leicester in May 2021 as a Lecturer as part of the Joint Education Programme between the University and Chongqing Medical University. Previous to this he worked at the York Trials Unit as a Research Associate within the University of York. Prior to this, from 2015-2021, Daniel worked as a Research Associate at the University of Leicester, this primarily involved coordinating a research team to deliver the NIHR funded CYCLE-HD trial in the end-stage kidney disease population. His current research is funded by the NIHR to apply novel meta-analyses techniques to investigate the effect of blood pressure medication in people living with diabetes and chronic kidney disease. He also investigates the effects of non-pharmacological interventions in modifying cardiovascular risk in people living with chronic kidney disease.
