Claire Hastings

I am a post-graduate researcher within the SAPPHIRE research group at the University of Leicester and a PhD fellow at The Healthcare Improvements Studies Institute (THIS) . My PhD is titled Accounting for and Explaining 'not doing' within Healthcare. My research focuses on healthcare overuse in primary care in the UK. I am exploring the complexities of non-intervention decisions and its documentation in patient records. I bring to my PhD over 20 years experience as a registered paramedic and over 13 years as paramedic lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian university and Sheffield Hallam University.
