Profile
Dr. Chandril Chandan Ghosh is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC-registered), Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society, and Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leicester. He is the creator of Relational Behaviour Therapy (RBT), a psychotherapy model that poses a simple but powerful question: What if the struggles you face today - anxiety, low mood, or relationship difficulties - are not just symptoms in the brain, but patterns learned in your earliest relationships, repeated automatically like habits? And what if therapy could help you rewrite those old ‘relationship habits’ into new, healthier ones? Dr. Ghosh’s clinical and research work focuses on how relational patterns shape psychological distress and recovery. He completed his doctoral degree at Queen’s University Belfast, where his doctoral research used early forms of artificial intelligence (AI) to evaluate the validity of DSM diagnostic categories - work conducted years before the rise of large-scale models such as ChatGPT. He continues to explore the role of AI in mental health innovation. At Leicester, Dr. Ghosh is currently accepting DClinPsych trainees on thesis projects at the intersection of RBT and AI.
