Profile
Lecturer Practitioner in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Clinical Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist
I qualified as a physiotherapist from Coventry University in 2015 and began my career as a junior rotational physiotherapist at University Hospitals of Leicester. During this time, I gained broad experience across a range of specialties before moving into paediatric physiotherapy in 2016, where I discovered a passion for working with children and young people.
Since then, I have worked across a variety of paediatric settings including cardiac and general intensive care, high dependency units, general inpatient care, elective and trauma orthopaedics, musculoskeletal outpatients, and specialist services such as children's excess weight management and long COVID rehabilitation. I currently continue to work clinically as a Clinical Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist within a paediatric orthopaedic triage service, based in an outpatient clinic setting.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was redeployed to adult intensive care to support the treatment and rehabilitation of patients severely affected by the virus, which broadened my critical care experience and reinforced the importance of cross-specialty teamwork in healthcare.
I joined the University in 2022 as a Lecturer Practitioner in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, working three days a week as part of the MSK academic team while continuing to practice clinically two days a week. My dual role allows me to bring current, real-world clinical insight directly into my teaching, supporting students to understand the practical application of theory in complex and evolving healthcare environments.
