Profile
I am a Research Associate at the University of Leicester responsible for leading the calibration of the X-ray Telescope on-board the Swift satellite and, more recently, the development of the SMILE SXI Processing pipeline (SXIPS).
Research
When not calibrating the XRT my research interests include trying to understand the X-ray emission from the class of binary stars known as Cataclysmic Variables particularly novae and those containing a strongly magnetic white dwarf, as well as observations of X-ray transients and dust scattering halos.
