Andrea Hadley-Johnson

I am a PhD researcher and creative producer, currently working with people living in prison to explore self-led creativity and its links to wellbeing behind the closed cell door. I've delivered award winning exhibitions and creative interventions in museums for over 20 years, working closely and kindly with communities of people and creative practitioners outside of museums, to shape and inform what happens inside museums. My coproduced projects and participatory arts based research brings people together, to discover and share perspectives, surface stories and amplify lived experience. I am known for my exploratory, playful, and quietly activist approach.
