Profile

I am an Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Finance at the University of Leicester. I hold a PhD in Finance. My research interests are in Asset Pricing, Mutual Funds, Stock Returns and Liquidity, Corporate Bonds, and Financial Markets.

Research

I am interested in analyzing the impact of uncertainties (e.g.,  economic, political, and monetary policy uncertainty) on the cross-sectional stock and bond returns and liquidity. Some of my recent research has been focused on evaluating the flows and performance of mutual funds. I try to identify the factors which affect the flows and performance of funds in the cross-section and at an aggregate-level. I am also interested in the time-series modelling of financial and economic variables, and in examining the impact of investor/political sentiment and price shocks on the corporate behavior. My research has been published in journals such as, Journal of Empirical Finance, Financial Review, Financial Markets, Institutions & Instruments, Economic Modelling, Finance Research Letters, Applied Economics, among others.
