I am a geographer by training, with experience in thermal remote sensing. Before Leicester, I worked at a small satellite mission FireBIRD at the German Aerospace Center, and did my first postdoc at ITC, University of Twente. 

My research focuses on thermal remote sensing, currently on Land Surface Temperature retrieval algorithms.

I work in the Science Team of the future ESA mission LSTM, and on ECOSTRESS georeferencing. 

My previous research directions were:

• quantification of gas flaring using thermal satellite imagery
• using ECOSTRESS data for automated detection of geothermal anomalies
• satellite thermal image quality assessment

Teaching support in Atmospheric Science module.

I am co-chairing a Special Interest Group on Thermal Remote Sensing, within European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories (EARSeL). 

Guest editor of special issue Infrared-Image Processing for Climate Change Monitoring from Space in Journal of Imaging (1st and 2nd edition).
