Developing knowledge from First Year and building upon this with more specialist applications. This will include more complex lens designs, as well as specialist contact lenses and their indications and fitting requirements. There will also be coverage of specialist low vision instruments for patients with significantly reduced vision. Drawing on knowledge and skills developed in other modules, this module will also aim to encourage students to consider the patient scenario and formulate a recommendation and management plan and justify this.
