Module code: Elementary Clinical Skills

Establishing and developing core clinical skills required as an optometrist, including effective communication with patients from a variety of backgrounds and in different settings. There will also be an introduction to the basic clinical techniques required by an optometrist, including ocular examination and measurement of vision and refractive status. The ability to determine a patient’s prescription to achieve maximum vision will also be covered.
