Introducing the range of optical appliances which can be prescribed and fitted by an optometrist, including spectacle lenses, magnifiers and contact lenses. This module will help to bridge the theoretical optics module and more clinically focussed modules in this and subsequent years. The module will include practical experience of measuring, adjusting and fitting spectacles, in addition to preliminary contact lens work, including fitting, removal and assessment of fitting.
