Anatomy & Vision

This module provides an overview of the anatomy of the human body and more specifically the human eye, but aspects of vision and the visual pathway will also be taught. Teaching will include practical eye dissections and time spent in the dissection rooms with medical and other healthcare students looking at human anatomy practically; a unique offering for a UK-based optometry programme. A deeper understanding of the anatomy of the eye will serve as the groundwork for progression into second year where pathology is considered in more detail.
