Digital Control and Actuators
Module code: EG3323
In this module, you will cover discrete-time systems and the methods to analyse these systems as well as the design of discrete-time controllers. You’ll learn difference equations, Z transform and inverse Z transform, discretisation methods, stability analysis, root locus, pole placement, PID controllers and their implementation with embedded systems such as Arduinos, and discrete state space including state observers design, optimal-time control law design, and state feedback control law design. Most the of exercises require simple mathematics due to the use of second order systems and 2x2 size matrices.
