In this module, you will explore how the fundamentals of mechanics, materials, and structural loading can be applied to musculoskeletal systems. Integrating core mechanical engineering and mechanical systems design principles, you will investigate modern experimental techniques for the measurement of cell and tissue mechanics and learn how to analyse and interpret biomechanical data. This module will allow you to apply your knowledge to real-world problems in biomedical engineering utilizing industry-standard engineering calculations and 3D modelling methods to design prosthetics or analyse the complex mechanics of human movement.
