Project (Business and Management)

In this project you will focus on addressing a real-world business problem.  You will be required to choose and make contact with a company of your choice with whom you will create several research questions to be addressed in a 10,000 word project report.  This will involve diagnosing a business or management problem, devising a research project that will provide an evidence-base for the evaluation of solutions and development of realistic, acceptable recommendations for action.  Alternatively, the research might involve using secondary data in the form of document analysis, a re-evaluation of secondary datasets or a combination of both.

The module gives you the opportunity to develop your project and stakeholder management skills as they will be interacting with external clients to address objectives and deliver a report to a deadline.  It also allows you to demonstrate your writing, critical analysis and research skills as you gather, organise and evaluate a range of literature on the subject of your choice.
