In this module you will explore the issue of career planning, self-awareness and employability in competitive labour markets. You will examine how personal values and strengths share career choices and professional identity development is emphasised. Reflective practice is central to learning.
You will be guided through the theories and concepts associated with skills development, emotional intelligence, and lifelong learning. You will explore goal setting and career management frameworks. Structured reflection activities support personal growth and employability skills are critically assessed.
You will learn how to identify strengths, areas for improvement and career aspirations, and develop confidence in articulating your personal profile. Workshops focus on CV development, interview preparation and networking, and resilience and adaptability are reinforced.
How globalisation and technological change can affect career trajectories will be considered and you will reflect on leadership capability and ethical responsibility as well as exploring professional development strategies.
