Dissertation (Marketing)
Module code: MK3204
The dissertation module is your opportunity to explore a topic in marketing that genuinely interests you and to shape your learning around an area you want to understand more deeply. It allows you to move beyond taught material and investigate a question that extends your current knowledge rather than simply revisiting what you already know.
For many students, the dissertation becomes a chance to specialise in a field connected to their future career. Whether you are interested in digital marketing, consumer behaviour, branding, innovation, or emerging technologies, this project allows you to develop focused expertise that can strengthen your profile when entering the job market. Others may see it as an opportunity to develop strong research and analytical skills that will be valuable for postgraduate study or research-based careers. Throughout the process, you will not be working alone. Your module leader and academic supervisor will support and guide you as you refine your topic, design your study, and carry out your research. The dissertation is both challenging and rewarding, as it requires you to think independently, ask meaningful questions, and develop your own insights based on evidence. By the end of the project, you will have produced a substantial piece of independent work that demonstrates your ability to investigate a complex marketing issue and communicate your ideas clearly and professionally.
