Clothing and fashion contains many indicators of class, gender and even politics. You’ll be looking at a wide range of case studies from Great Britain, Germany, the Soviet Union, Lithuania and Palestine/Israel in a transnational context. These comparative case studies will further your knowledge on fashion history in Modern Europe in the late 19th and 20th Century, and help you to engage with important historiographical debates.
