Group Project

Module code: EG4007

This module gives you the opportunity to work on a real-world engineering project as part of a team, just like in industry. You’ll use the knowledge and skills you’ve gained during your degree to identify a meaningful project that addresses a business or social need. You will work together with other students to design and develop a working solution, using both theoretical and experimental methods.

Throughout the module, you’ll learn to think critically about practical challenges, including environmental, legal, and commercial concerns. They will also practice using advanced tools and methods to solve complex problems. Teamwork and professional behaviour are essential, and students will be expected to plan their work, keep records, attend meetings, and manage resources like lab equipment responsibly. Regular meetings with supervisors will support the students’ progress. This module focuses on technical progress and achievements, while leadership and project management will be assessed in the co-requisite module, EG4009.
