International finance is an evolving subject that deals with real world issues such as balance of payments problems, evidence of purchasing power parity, the causes of exchange rate movements and the implications of macroeconomics linkages between economies.

You will be able to explain the effects of macroeconomic policy in open economies assessing how the choice of exchange rate regime would affect the effectiveness of different policies.  You will also explore how the choice of exchange rate regime may affect trade, growth and the likelihood of currency and financial crisis.
