Modern economists need more than strong analytical skills, they must also be able to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. This module develops your ability to critically engage with cutting-edge research in economics and finance, while strengthening the professional communication skills that are essential for academic study and future careers.

You will learn how to read and evaluate articles published in leading academic journals, identify their key research questions, methodologies and findings, and present these ideas in a concise, accessible and professional manner. Through guided practice, you will gain experience in producing high-quality presentation materials, delivering oral presentations with confidence, and writing clear, well-structured analytical summaries.
