Data Analytics and Machine Learning for Finance

Module code: AF7001

This module develops the data analytics and machine-learning toolkit used to analyse financial and economic information.  You will learn how to work with large datasets, apply time-series and regression-based modelling approaches, and use Python or R to explore patterns, test relationships and generate insight from evidence.  

You will develop the ability to evaluate modelling choices (including assumptions and limitations), interpret outputs critically, and communicate findings clearly.  You will also develop an understanding of how quantitative evidence supports decision-making in modern finance and related applied contexts.
