Introduction to Finance

This module introduces fundamental theories, concepts and techniques essential for finance, investment, and risk management.  It lays the groundwork for advanced studies in finance, accounting, economics and business.  

You will cover the techniques necessary for the determination of interest rates, term structure (interest rates at different maturities), fixed income securities, and share prices of publicly listed companies.  The module also covers the essential techniques of time value of money, which are utilised in assessing the feasibility of investments and making financing decisions (i.e., what sources of financing to use and how to mix them).
