Research Project

Module code: SY3102

In this module, you will carry out a supervised research project, conducting research in an area of your choice. This is the opportunity to bring together the knowledge you have acquired – in 'subject' and ‘research methods’ modules – along with your personal skills and apply them to your research topic.

With the support of an expert supervisor, whose research interests match yours as closely as possible, you will set up the research, read relevant literature, identify a good research question, work out an appropriate research design and gain ethical approval. Your supervisor will also provide you with formative feedback on draft chapters that summarise this phase of the research process.
