Introduction to Sensation, Perception and Cognition

In this module, you will learn about how we use our senses to perceive, interpret and appraise information from the world around us. This includes an introduction to vision, audition, taste, touch and smell, and how sensory processing and perception contribute to higher-level cognitive functions, such as visual attention, word recognition and reading. You are also introduced to common means of studying perceptual and cognitive processing in the brain.
