International relations as a field of study has only emerged within the past 100 years since the horror of the First World War. However, classic texts and thinkers have influenced many of its key theories and arguments.

By the end of this module, you'll be able to explain, differentiate and critique key international relations theories, both historical and contemporary. You'll also be able to show the influence of classic thinkers and texts on international relations theory.
