Treatment and Therapeutic Interventions in Mental Health

In this module you will learn to apply a range of therapeutic interventions that are used with individuals, families and groups that need therapeutic interventions. You will also learn the application of a range of treatment options used in mental health such as medication, psychotherapy, inpatient/outpatient mental health treatment etc.
We will discuss how psychosocial therapeutic interventions are collaboratively implemented with an individual, family or group in order to help an individual with mental health issues to integrate with society again in a healthy manner. Care environments also have an impact on individuals suffering with mental health distress – we will explore the explore the influence of care environments.
This module will be taught through a varied selection of lectures, seminars and workshops, problem based, case studies, online activities and flipped learning.
