Global Affairs: Actors, Communication and Culture

This module will immerse you in the study of Global Affairs, before you gain the ability to judge the role played by the media in these areas.

For example, you will discuss power hierarchies entailed in international communication, including the complexities of present-day, global hybrid media systems, before identifying and comparing the roles different actors play in the global process. You will then examine the relevance of theories of globalisation and international communication, applying your depth of knowledge in a real-life context.
