Your dissertation explores the issues of independent research in international business management.  A dissertation is a substantial research project addressing a relevant business question.  Academic inquiry and originality are central and independent learning is emphasised.

The module guides you through the theories and concepts associated with research design, literature synthesis and methodological application.  You will apply analytical frameworks to real-world business issues.  Your dissertation tutor will facilitate the academic development of your dissertation and structured milestones will help guide progress.

Your dissertation will be demonstrate your critical thinking, research competence and academic writing proficiency.  You will develop advanced analytical and evaluative skills, and the integration of theory and evidence is central.  

In the module you will consider the practical implications of your research findings and reflect on methodological limitations and academic contribution.  By the end of the module you will have produced a significate piece of academic scholarship.
