This module explore the issues of improving efficiency, effectiveness, and value creation through process optimisation.  You will examine how organisations design and manage workflows.  Continuous improvement is a central theme and quality management is linked to competitive performance.

You will be guided through the theories and concepts associated with Total Quality Management, Lean Systems, Six Sigma and process mapping.  You will learn analytical tools to diagnose inefficiencies and performance management techniques are introduced.  The role of leadership in quality culture is explored.

The module will help you analyse and redesign business processes for improved outcomes, and you will develop structured problem-solving capabilities.  Practical exercises reinforce applied understanding of process improvement and evidence-based evaluation is emphasised.

You will consider how quality management contributes to customer satisfaction and organisational resilience.  Sustainability and ethical efficiency are discussed, and you will examine digital transformation in process management.  By the end of the module you will understand how operational excellence supports strategic success.
