Leading in Times of Crisis explores the issue of leadership during periods of uncertainty, disruption, and organisational crisis. You will examine how leaders respond to volatility and complexity. The human and strategic dimensions of crisis management are emphasised. Ethical leadership is a central theme.
The module will guide you through the theories and concepts associated with resilience, crisis communications, adaptive leadership, and organisational recovery. You will analyse case studies of corporate crises and turnaround strategies. Frameworks for managing uncertainty are critically evaluated. Emotional intelligence and stakeholder trust are explored.
This module will help you to develop leadership capabilities suited to certain environments. You will enhance decision-making skills under pressure. Reflection and scenario analysis support applied understanding and strategic agility and responsible leadership are reinforced.
You will consider how organisations rebuild legitimacy and confidence following disruption. You will examine governance, accountability, and long-term recovery planning.
