Dispute Resolution
Module code: LW3571
What’s the difference between formal and informal resolution schemes? How do their core values affect how we practise them? By looking at the features of conflict resolution techniques, you'll explore how they interact with the courts and how the law regulates them. Through your own research you'll discover the many reasons behind the promotion of various dispute resolution schemes, and how they affect people’s lives.
You'll discover the core principles and regulations underpinning the various dispute resolution (DR) methods. This will cover the mainstream adjudicative and consensual DR methods such as court adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and consumer redress.
