Property Rights and Ownership
Module code: LW2001
Most businesses need land and buildings to operate. If a business owns its own land, this could be a freehold. Rarely can a new business afford to buy a plot of freehold land and premises and many need the flexibility of being able to change the amount of space that they occupy. In this module you will learn about rights that people have over land that could affect how land is used. You will also consider the differences between very flexible arrangements for use of land that are called a licence in comparison to a lease.
