Dissertation

In the last five months of the course you will undertake an individual research project - your dissertation. With the support of an allocated supervisor you will identify an appropriate topic based on your interests and career ambitions, develop your proposal and identify appropriate methods, undertake data collection and analyses, and write up your findings.

If you are taking one of our Data Science programmes, you will have an opportunity to combine your specialist knowledge of remote sensing/earth observation, environmental science or geospatial analyses with your skills in Data Science to examine how a scientific problem or a contemporary environmental challenge and/or management and policy debate can be informed by the analyses of satellite, environmental or geospatial data and data products.
