Creative Geographies in Practice

Human geography, along with environmental and future studies, have made increasing reference to the use of creativity and creative methods in the conduct of research. This module seeks to provide you with an opportunity to familiarise yourself with a range of creative research methods and methodologies, including those used by staff and current research students in the School of Geography, Geology and Environment at the University of Leicester. In this module you explore the meaning and value of creativity and learn about a range of creative methods. You will be given an opportunity to engage with creative methods quite directly to produce a portfolio of work you have undertaken in the module. You will also be asked to reflect on the employment of creative methods within environmental futures research.
