Innovation and Reform: Lead Module

This first module of the Innovation and Reform pathway explores a number of educational innovation and reform initiatives in response to forces of globalisation. You will reflect on discussions over aims of education before considering how these ideas might be used to think about different approaches to the educative process. You will consider a holistic notion of educational change that encompasses curriculum, campus and community, and also investigate the links between theory, policy and practice. You will also learn about contemporary theories of education, particularly with regard to complexity theory. You will develop an enhanced understanding of how each of these innovations and reforms relate to international developments within educational systems.
